What is Christian contemplation?

When we're spirit-led, we're seeking God with all of our heart. Christian contemplation (meditation) is the spirit-led practice of bringing awareness to the presence of Jesus moment to moment and placing our will, thoughts, and emotions in His hands as we rest in Him.

Where can I find Him?

Elijah didn't find God in the wind or in the mountain. He found God in Spirit. Christians are given a new spirit where the Spirit of God comes to dwell.

We commune with God spirit to Spirit. This is where we can worship Him and be led by Him instead of by our own selfish desires that lead to suffering.

Through prayer, reading and meditating on His Word, and contemplating Jesus' presence, we learn how to walk with Him as a Friend and become more like Him.

What does mindfulness mean for Christians?

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing awareness to what's arising in the present moment with acceptance, non-judgment, and compassion.

As Christians, we can choose to be mindful of the presence of God in the present moment.

Spirit-led practices accept the will of God and practice aligning our thoughts, feelings, and actions with His commands.

Non-judgment is acknowledging that God is the only righteous judge and understanding our need for a Savior to be in His presence and spend eternity with Him.

Our love and compassion flow from the love and grace God has given us through His son Jesus.
